This historic complex, constructed in 1893, now houses 27 formerly homeless Veteran families, providing a safe and supportive environment that fosters community and healing. Intended to provide a special emphasis on single parent vets, it has pivoted to serve singles, couples, and families with children, recognizing the diverse needs of those who have served our country. Onsite is a daycare center operated by the University of Southern California, which not only offers quality care for the children of residents but also serves as a vital resource for parents reentering the workforce or furthering their education. Additionally, the complex offers coaching and other services that will help the Vets begin anew, addressing not just their immediate needs but also their long-term aspirations. The inclusion of wellness and career services makes Casa living unique, ensuring that residents have access to comprehensive support that promotes both personal and professional development, ultimately empowering them to thrive as contributing members of society.
