Mission

WEDC’s approach includes economic, housing, leadership and neighborhood development services within a target area of the greater Los Angeles area. Our goals are to:

»Establish and support local entrepreneurial opportunities, growth in human capital

»Create jobs for minority youth, at risk males and the chronically employed & underemployed

»Facilitate community empowerment and nurture indigenous leadership development

»Promote and support the development of affordable housing development to meet the shelter needs of growing families and seniors.

As one of the first faith-based development corporations in Los Angeles, it has championed that cause across the nation and mentored similar groups from local congregations.
